Kotae Expo
Founder, chairperson and one of the main organizers
The thing that takes up most of my free time is Kotae Expo, where I act as the second main organizer and chairman of Kotae ry, the non-profit association behind it. The event is organized by volunteers.
Kotae Expo is an event focused on Japanese and Korean popular culture, held in Tampere, Finland. We founded the association in spring 2023, and the first Kotae Expo was organized at the Tampere Exhibition Center in summer 2024. The event attracted about 4,000 visitors, and was such a great success that the next Kotae Expo will be organized in late 2025.
Volunteering at events
I volunteer at numerous other events throughout the year as well. Over the years, I have worked in all sorts of positions: as a waiter, cook, cashier, info worker, stage lighting assistant, VIP room host, and many others.
I usually volunteer at pop-culture events similar to Kotae Expo, but I have also worked at music festivals, among others.
Aquariums
We got our first aquarium in 2020, and over the years the number and size of the aquariums has only grown. Today we have a large 350 liter aquarium, as well as a small aquarium of about 50 liters. In the aquariums you can find black phantom tetras, lambchop rasboras, Kuhli loaches, shrimps, assassin snails and much more.
Dance
I have loved dancing all my life, but it was only last year when I really started dancing as a hobby, as I started taking weekly hip hop and commercial dance classes.
Horseback riding
I started riding as a baby with my family’s horses, and it has remained my hobby even to my adulthood, even though I no longer have my own horses.

What I do in my free time varies a lot, as I enjoy many kinds of hobbies, such as sewing, crafts, cooking, baking, knitting, building websites, and many more.
